Meet Mina Dia-Stevens

Lead Creative & Founder

From birth to the present day, I have lived between continents and enjoyed the best of two cultural worlds.
My life as a Senegalese-American Creative is guided by my unique upbringing.
It is the amazing work of Senegalese artisans.
It is absorbing the colorful florals and fragrances of my Tante's garden; fresh with limes and brilliant red hibiscus flowers.

It's the clear blue waves crashing against the sides of the pirogue as the small, narrow boats dash across the Atlantic from mainland Dakar to the petite island of N’Gor.
It is the sounds, excitement, and colors of the “car rapide” traveling throughout the streets.
It's the ferry’s engine slowing, and the small ship nearing the island of Goree, as my eyes quickly scan the rushing waves and envision the faces of the lost lives of the middle passage.
These are the cherished memories of my childhood in Senegal.
All of this greatly influences my dream to share...Home, Love, Family, and Afrique with you.

I had to lean into knowing that the value of my work, and who I am as a Creative does not lie in the applause, the accolades or seeking approval.
Instead, I learned to focus on the pure joy that my creativity brings me and to share that joy with the world with zero expectations."
